Maria + Jun Hao

There’s something deeply special about home sessions. The familiarity, the comfort, the light streaming through a place filled with meaning. Recently, I had the joy of photographing Maria and Junhao in the soft morning light, right in their neighborhood — a place they’ve made their own with quiet routines and shared laughter.

What made this session so memorable wasn't just the warm light or the peaceful walk through the nearby gardens. It was the way home was woven into everything. From the way they leaned into each other naturally, to how they described the small corners of their space with fondness — it reminded me how much more powerful photos become when taken in places that matter.

Personally, I’ve been dreaming about my own space too. My new home is expected to be ready in Q4, and I find myself imagining the stories that will unfold there — maybe even some cozy portraits of my own. I think that’s why sessions like this resonate with me so much: they’re not about perfection, but about presence. About being at home, in every sense of the word.

If you’re a couple thinking about a session, consider starting at home. Let’s tell your story where it begins — with the laughter in your kitchen, the walks you take together, and the small moments that make your days feel full.
